Delivered-To: hlleibbrandt@onsbrabantnet.nl Subject: Re: Leibbrandt family in Santa Cruz, California, United States To: Leibbrandt From: Wendy Date: Fri, 17 Nov 2017 10:10:42 -0500 Hi Hans, No, they are 3 different names. I have image copies of marriage announcements, censuses, biography excerpts, etc. that show they are three different names and families. I went back through my saved sources and re-checked to get the additional information on Henry Hill and Henry Call, below. Nellie (Martha E. Hall, but she used "Nellie" for most of her life and is shown as "Nellie" in most records I've found) and Clara are the only Halls, their parents were Benjamin J. Hall and Caroline Force. Nellie and Clara had a sister, Annie, who died in infancy, and two half-siblings from Caroline Force's second marriage to William H. Richards. Henry Hill is Henry Seymour Hill, the son of Samuel Hill and Laura Pitcher. This is from the biography article on Henry from "An illustrated history of Sacramento County, California : containing a history of Sacramento County from the earliest period of its occupancy to the present time, together with glimpses of its prospective future, with profuse illustrations of its beautiful scenery, full-page portraits of some of its most eminent men, and biographical mention of many of its pioneers and also of prominent citizens of to-day. Davis, Win. J.. Chicago. Lewis Pub. Co.. 1890. " Henry Call was born in New Hampshire, United States according to US Census records from 1850 thru 1910 in Santa Cruz, California) and the California Voter Registration record for 1868-1898 (his entry shows registration 30 June 1892) from the Register image on Ancestry.com. His parents, according to various family trees, were Stephen Call and Polly Durham, both from New Hampshire. I haven't been able to verify his parents with other records as yet, but I'm still searching so I have them listed in my own records as "possible" parents for him. I have additional information on their families & children (children's spouses, etc), but wasn't sure if you wanted to include it all or only the actual Leibbrandt connections. Also, I checked with my mother and she said I can give you her name and birth information to add with my father's on your site. She is Betty Lou Porter, born 04 January 1937 in Los Angeles, California. She remarried after my father's death, but doesn't want my step-father's name published as he is still living but in ill health and has been estranged from most of his family for more than 50 years. His mind is not clear enough for him to give an informed consent to add his name and it doesn't seem right to either of us to speak for him on something such as this. ----------------- I also had to change to Chrome a few years ago. Firefox just doesn't seem to work with a lot of sites and files any more (and it's a lot worse with Windows 10 and the last Firefox upgrade, I agree!)-- I keep it to use on sites that don't like Chrome, but there aren't very many of those any longer. This version of Firefox cannot handle my L.familytree file stamm.htm Firefox stops with an irresponsive script and should be put away with the taskmanager. Google Chrome works OK, so that is now my browser. It is very exciting to see that you have found one ancestor already. It gives me hope that there are others that will stop hiding!
