Een van daardie foto´s in D.P. se stamboom is verkeerd: dié met die onderskrif "artillery", 
want dié foto wys "Joihan Meyder Leibbrandt,  heliografies (wat aan die artillery behoort) en kwartiermeester". 
In die SA argief kan jy die bevestiging daarvoor vind.

Should it not be  "Johannes Meyder Leibbrandt"  (your grandfather) 
"your comment: Fought in the Anglo-Boer war Commandos as heliograph and scout"

                      or his son (your uncle)  ??

Discuss this with Peter Allan before we change die onderskrif  of the photo  in the DPL stamboom file.


Dankie  veral vir die adresse van al die argiewe in Duitsland. Daar is ook argiewe wat ek nog nie geken het nie. Sodra ek ´n bietjie tyd het, sal ek hulle gaan besoek en kyk watter nuus daar nog versteek is.

Ek het met  ons swabiese "stamboom-meester"
gepraat en ons is van plan om met mekaar die
Swabiese deel van die stamboom vir ´n
Leibbrandt-boek saam te stel, sodat die
bosnderhede nie sal verlore raak nie! Dis nou
eers ´n plan en geen feit nie en sal daarom
ook nie op die internet geplaas word nie).

Who is going to make the Leibbrand(t)-boek:  
                                      Walter, his son-in-law, or you, or me ? 
I can, with some help, convert his MAC Pagemaker 6.0 files  to a format that can be handled by the rest of the world. Scanning the printed pages is the very last option !
I think someone should contact the 

Wuerttemberg State Archives

to archive this  unique L-material permanently.
And of course they want to have it also in digital form !
